MYTHOS HOMES · RETURNING TO WHAT MATTERS

We didn’t set out to build a brand. We set out to find our way back.

Mythos Homes was born somewhere between memory and return. Between a life built away from the island and a quiet pull back to what shaped us: family, hospitality, light, stone and a slower sense of time.

These homes are not simply places to stay. They are small worlds made of stories, persistence and a certain kind of beauty that doesn’t need to announce itself. They carry something of where we come from, but they are also an invitation — to experience hospitality in a more human, more grounded way.

Somewhere between movement and return, we realized: we weren’t just building homes. We were building a way to belong again.

ENGLISH

From two siblings with a suitcase to a small myth that found its way home.

Once we left Greece — two siblings with one suitcase, a little youthful madness and the quiet promise many people carry when they leave their homeland behind: that one day they will find their way back.

In Austria, in 2013, we opened Hemingway’s Bar in Linz. That was where we learned what it truly means to build a place from nothing, to work slowly, imperfectly and stubbornly, serving drinks while in reality hosting stories.

Years later, Lemnos began pulling us back. Not dramatically. More quietly, more tenderly. Through memories, family tables, stone houses, island light and long summer evenings. Through that deep desire to return not backwards, but closer to ourselves.

That is how Mythos Homes was born. Not as an “investment” — a word a little too cold for our taste — but as a place where our worlds could meet: hospitality, family memory, aesthetics and the joy of real human encounters.

Somewhere between cocktail shakers, suitcases, returns and family summers, we realised something simple: we were not only building homes. We were building a way to belong again.
